§ 76. Mr. MORTONasked the Secretary to the Treasury when the Bill dealing with the special Highlands and Islands medical service Grant (£42,000 per annum) will be introduced; and whether he is aware that the Scottish Members are anxious that he should adhere to the promise made when the deputation of Scottish Members waited upon him some weeks back as to the authority to administer the Grant?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI hope that it will be possible to introduce the Bill at a very early date. The answer to the last part of the question is in the affimative. The proposals contained in the Bill will be framed on that basis.
§ Mr. WATTIn order to obtain facilities for the passage of this Bill, will the right hon. Gentleman represent to the Government the necessity of throwing overboard the Appellate Jurisdiction Bill?
