Sir EDWIN CORNWALLasked the President of the Board of Trade what steps the Board of Trade are taking under the Port of London Act, 1908, to make regulations for the election of members to the Port of London Authority; and whether, in view of the public importance of any such regulations, he will afford the House an opportunity of considering them before any regulations are finally made?
Mr. BUXTONThe draft regulations have been prepared, and I propose to confer with representatives of the Port of London Authority and other bodies interested on the subject with a view to issuing the regulations at an early date. I do not think it is necessary to depart from the usual practice in regard to regulations made by the Board under the Port of London Act.
