§ 15. Mr. CASSELasked whether the right hon. Gentleman's Department has yet taken any steps, or proposes to take 11 any steps, with a view to bringing about a settlement of the dispute between owners and drivers of taxi-cabs?
Mr. ROBERTSONThe Board of Trade have been and are in touch with both parties to the dispute, and are closely watching developments, but it would not appear that the Department can at present take any active step with a view to bringing about a settlement. I may add that any question of alteration in fares comes under the jurisdiction of my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary, and that the Board of Trade has no authority in regard to it.
§ Mr. FLAVINWill the President of the Board of Trade take some effective steps to break down the petrol combination or trusts of that description?
