Mr. NEWMANasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has been requested and consented to receive a deputation of Members of this House with regard to the remission in his forth-coming Budget of a portion of the taxation at present laid on food stuffs in this country; and whether, having regard to the delay and difficulties caused to certain trades and possible loss of revenue to the State owing to the uncertainty as to the exact burden which such food stuffs may be called on to bear, the result of such interview will be made public?
