§ Mr. McKENNAI am consulting the National Physical Laboratory as to the possibility of their undertaking a series of tests with the object of estimating the amount of vibration caused by motor and other traffic at different periods of the day in the streets adjoining the cathedral, and the effect, if any, on the fabric. I am unable to make any further statement at present.
