HC Deb 16 January 1913 vol 46 cc2226-7
3. Mr. WALTER GUINNESS

asked whether any statement or protest has been received from the Turkish Government as to alleged atrocities committed by the allies on the Mahomedan population of Albania, Macedonia, and Thrace?

Sir E. GREY

The answer is in the affirmative.

4. Mr. WALTER GUINNESS

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, whether he has received any information from His Majesty's Consuls as to alleged massacres of Mahomedan and Jewish non-combatants and prisoners of war at Salonica and elsewhere in Macedonia by the allied forces or independent bands?

Sir E. GREY

Reports which have reached me of violence done to the inhabitants of territory in Bulgarian and Servian occupation, though in some cases apparently by irregular bands, are being brought unofficially to the notice of the Bulgarian and Servian Governments.
