HC Deb 16 January 1913 vol 46 c2230
10. Mr. CHARLES CRAIG

asked the Chief Secretary if he has yet received the County Court Judge's recommendations as to reform of procedure in the County Courts of Ireland; if so, what course the Government proposes to take in the matter; and will he make known the recommendations of the County Court Judges on the subject?

Mr. BIRRELL

The proposals of the County Court Judges relating to procedure in the County Courts of Ireland have been received. I am not prepared to make any further statement on the subject until I have had time to consider them carefully.

Mr. C. CRAIG

Does the right hon. Gentleman remember that he gave exactly the same answer about two months ago?

Mr. BIRRELL

No. I had not then received the County Court Judge's recommendations.

Mr. C. CRAIG

Did not the right hon. Gentleman tell me that the Lord Chancellor had received the recommendations?

Mr. BIRRELL

That is so, but I had not.
