§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThe yield of a particular tax has never been allocated to the purposes referred to. I would, however, remind the hon. Member that since the introduction of the Budget for the year 1909–10 the expenditure on the Navy has risen from £32,188,000 for the year ended 31st March, 1909, to £45,075,000 for the current year, an increase of nearly £13,000,000.
