82. Captain O'NEILLasked how much the administration of the English, Scottish, and Irish teachers' superannuation funds, respectively, cost during the past year?
§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Masterman)The cost of the Irish Teachers' Pension Office in 1912–13 was estimated at £1,249. In addition there is expenditure from other votes which cannot be ear-marked specifically to work in connection with teachers' pensions. In England and Scotland the work is performed by various Departments as part of their ordinary duties, and it is not, I fear, possible to ear-mark any definite amount for this particular service. In all three cases the cost is borne by Votes of Parliament and not by the superannuation funds.
