Mr. KELLAWAYasked (1) how-many persons were killed by motor omnibuses, private motor cars, taxi-cabs, motor cycles, electric tramcars, all other kinds of mechanically-propelled vehicles, and horse-drawn vehicles, respectively, in the Metropolitan Police area and the City of London during the year 1912; and (2) how many persons were killed by motor omnibuses in the Metropolitan Police area and the City of London during the month of December and the year 1912, respectively?
§ Mr. McKENNAI regret that I am unable to furnish the figures for the Metropolitan Police district. They have not yet been received from the various divisions, and, when received, will require careful examination, and at present the statistical branch at New Scotland Yard is fully-occupied in preparing statistical information for the Select Committee. With regard to the City of London, the Commissioner of City Police informs me that the number of persons killed by motor omnibuses in the City of London was:—
and that the number of persons killed by various vehicles in the City of London during the year 1912 was twenty-four, comprised as follows:—
