§ 30. Mr. KINGasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of the scheme now before the Road Board to construct, at a cost approaching £2,000,000 sterling, a new main road as an approach to the Metropolis from the west; and whether, having regard to the public interests involved, he will refuse to sanction any such scheme without submitting it to Parliament by a legislative proposal?
§ Mr. MASTERMANNo applications have yet been made by the highway authorities concerned to the Road Board for grants towards the construction of a western approach road. It would, therefore, be premature to consider questions of procedure at the present time.
