§ 18. Mr. FREDERICK WHYTEasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he has now received any communications on the subject of the reported decision by the Perth Burgh Insurance Committee to fix an income limit for the purposes of medical benefit; whether he is aware that due public intimation of the intention of the committee was not given to those concerned; and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI understand that public notice of the proposal to fix an income limit was given by the insurance committee by means of advertisement in the public Press, and that a public meeting was held on Saturday last at which representatives of approved societies as welt as medical practitioners discussed the question. The insurance committee are further considering the question early in this week.
