HC Deb 04 February 1913 vol 47 c1973
24. Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTT

asked whether notices requiring payment of Property and Income Tax within ten days have been issued in Scotland; whether similar notices have been issued in England; if not, will he state on what date it is proposed to issue similar notices; and why pressure is being exercised in Scotland earlier than in England?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I am informed that notices such as are indicated in my hon. Friend's question have been issued in the usual course both in England and Scotland. The regulations for the collection of the duty, which is payable on or before the 1st January, are substantially the same in both countries.
