HC Deb 04 February 1913 vol 47 c1980
38. Mr. WATT

asked whether it is in contemplation to abandon the blank week of the Court of Session which occurs in February; if so, when it is proposed to initiate the new system of going on continuously with the work of the Courts without this break; and, if not, whether the rent collecting for which the blank week was originally instituted still goes on, where, and to what extent?

The LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. Ure)

The answer to the first part of my hon. Friend's question is in the negative; the second part is superseded; with regard to the third part I am not aware that the blank week was originally instituted for the purpose stated in the question.

Mr. PRINGLE

Will the right hon. Gentleman make inquiries as to what happens in the Sheriff Court of Lanark?

Mr. WATT

Will the right hon. Gentleman give us a diagram of that answer?
