§ 24. Sir THOMAS ESMONDEasked the Secretary to the Treasury if he will lay upon the Table of the House the letter from the Board of Inland Revenue of October last relative to the reproduction or illustration of postage stamps; if he will give the reasons for the issue of this letter; and if he will cause it to be withdrawn or else held in abeyance until the House has had an opportunity of discussing the question?
§ Mr. MASTERMANA copy of the Regulations of the 16th October will be laid on the Table of the House. The reason for their issue was given in my reply to the question put by the hon. Member for the Isle of Thanet Division on the 27th November last. With regard to the last part of 1779 the question, the Regulations which have now been in operation for over three months are working smoothly, and I am not aware of any ground for their withdrawal or suspension.
