Mr. MILDMAYasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that certain officers of Customs and Excise have not received any advance in salary notwithstanding that new duties have recently been placed upon them, and that an improved service scale of pay has been granted to new entrants; and whether he will consider the possibility of revision of these salaries upon the lines indicated in paragraph 41 of the Hobhouse Committee's Report?
