§ 79. Viscount WOLMERasked the Secretary of State for War whether, on 31st July, a 1,000 officers, non-commissioned,officers, and troops at Aldershot were ordered to take part in a military display for the benefit of a cinematograph company; and, if so, at whose orders was this 1758 done and what arrangement was made with the cinematograph company in question?
§ Colonel SEELYBy the sanction of the Army Council the local military authorities at Aldershot are assisting in the production of films illustrating the life of the soldier. These films will be subject to the final approval of the Army Council, and it is hoped that when they are displayed in public they will create an interest in the Army which will be useful for recruiting purposes.
§ Mr. GWYNNEWill the facilities be confined to one company?
§ Colonel SEELYI do not know anything about that. Perhaps the hon. Member will put down a question.
