Mr. POINTERasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has received a Memorandum from the Trinidad Working Men's Association calling attention to the increasing number of arrests and the increased severity of the penalties inflicted in Trinidad under the Ordinance giving to the police power to arrest without warrant anyone whom they may suspect of conveying stolen goods; and whether he will inquire into the working of the Ordinance?
