§ Mr. MONTAGUThe Secretary of State is aware that petitions have been submitted by engineers of the Public Works Department asking for increased pension allowances, but the petitions have not yet been transmitted by the Government of India. The conditions of pension come within the scope of the Public Services Commission's inquiry, and it is proposed to await the Commission's Report before arriving at a decision on the petition in question.
