43. MARQUESS of TULLIBARDINEasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, under the provisions of the Finance Act, for the purposes of land valuation, poultry runs in and around boroughs are considered as agricultural or trade subjects?
§ The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Lloyd George)While the varying conditions of the land which might be used for the purpose indicated by the Noble Lord preclude an answer to cover all cases that might arise, I apprehend that, normally, poultry runs of the description referred to would not be agricultural land.
