40. MARQUESS of TULLIBARDINEasked the First Lord of the Admiralty 1037 whether he is aware that owing to the scheduling of the area around it, the Dover aerodrome has been rendered practically useless and financial loss has been inflicted upon its owners; and whether it is possible for the Admiralty to take over the grounds and sheds, or in some other way to compensate them for the loss to which the owners have been put in the interests of national defence?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAThe special circumstances connected with the Dover Aerodrome are receiving very full consideration. A final decision has not been reached, but I may say that the actual purchase of the aerodrome by the Admiralty is not one of the possibilities.
