§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Pease)One thousand two hunderd and sixty-seven candidates applied for appointment as assistant inspectors. One hundred and sixty-eight of these candidates were interviewed by a selection Committee which I appointed for the purpose. After considering the report presented to me by the Committee, I interviewed twenty-five of these candidates and have selected fifteen of these for immediate appointment, subject to the issue by the Civil Service Commissioners of a certificate of qualification under Section 7 of the Order in Council of the 10th of January, 1910.
