HC Deb 29 April 1913 vol 52 c987
37. Mr. CHARLES DUNCAN

asked the Secretary to the Treasury if assistant clerks' certificates were issued to the three sorters recently appointed supervising assisting clerks under the National Health Insurance Commission (England) at Maid Hill office?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Masterman)

Yes, Sir. As stated in my answer to the hon. Member on the 25th March last, these officers were passed through the nominal rank of assistant clerk and were, therefore, certificated in that grade. A supervising assistant clerk does not necessarily require a different Civil Service certificate from that issued on behalf of an assistant clerk.
