HC Deb 29 April 1913 vol 52 cc974-5
12. Mr. PETO

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his attention has been called to the fact that certain clubs are circularising their members and offering to supply them with wines in quantity at prices which they state compare favourably with those quoted by wine merchants; and whether he proposes to take any steps to stop this competition with wine merchants who have to pay licences to carry on their business?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

My attention has not been called to any such circular as is referred to by the hon. Member, but, if he will supply me with one, I will look into the matter.
