HC Deb 28 April 1913 vol 52 c795
43. Mr. BARNES

asked the number of overseers' vacancies in the London postal service, and the reason for not making the necessary appointments?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Captain Norton)

There are eleven vacancies for postal overseers in London at the present time. In six cases recommendations for promotion are now under consideration, and in five others officers are either on trial or about to be selected for trial. No avoidable delay will occur in filling these vacancies.
