Mr. BUXTONThe total value of the exports of merchandise from Britsh India to the United Kingdom in the year commencing 1st April, 1885, was £22,868,000, and in the year commencing 1st April, 1911, the latest year for which figures are available, was £40,078,000. In the latter year the re-exports of merchandise from 237 India to foreign countries by sea amounted in value to £1,477,000, and the total exports of merchandise from India to foreign countries by sea to £87,881,000.
