Mr. ROBERTSONI am aware of the decision to which my hon Friend refers, and I am sending him a copy of a letter which I have received from the Caledonian Railway Company on the subject. The Board of Trade have no power to interfere with the discretion of the railway companies as regards the revision of passenger fares within the statutory maxima.
