Mr. FREDERICK HALL (Dulwich)asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state when it is proposed to introduce the Bill to legalise the additional expenditure involved in the increased payments to doctors under the National Insurance Act; and whether such measure will make statutory provision for insured persons to have a free choice of doctors?
Mr. ROBERTSONWith regard to the first part of the question, I have nothing to add to the answers given by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister to the hon. Members for Colchester and Salisbury on the 14th instant. With regard to the second part, as the Act already secures to insured persons the right of free choice of doctors on the panel, no amendment in this respect is required.
