HALLasked the President of the Board of Trade if he has any information as to a decision of the Miners' Federation having decided to allow no shipment of coals to Belgium during the continuance of the national strike in the country; if he will state the total value of the coal exported to Belgium in 1912; and whether the whole of such coal was shipped direct to Belgian ports?
Mr. ROBERTSONI have seen in the Press references to a resolution reported to have been adopted by the Miners' Federation of Great Britain, but I have no official information on the subject. The quantity of coal consigned to Belgium in 1912 was 1,547,000 tons, valued at £768,000. Practically the whole was shipped direct to Belgian ports.
