§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Buxton)Forty-three watch-huts have been erected or are in course of erection, and others will be erected as soon as the necessary sites have been acquired. Eventually there will be 114 of these huts. Many alterations and additions to the coast communication telephone service have been carried out with a view to the better summoning of assistance to vessels in distress. The Board of Trade are also establishing seventeen new rocket life apparatus stations, and improving the equipment of a number of other stations.
