§ 85. Mr. MORTONasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will send an independent expert officer to hold a local inquiry as to the state and present condition of the Helmsdale (Sutherland) Harbour, with a view to seeing that the lives of those who have to use the harbour are properly protected?
Mr. BUXTONI propose to instruct one of the Board's professional officers, who will be in the North of Scotland shortly, to take that opportunity of visiting Helmsdale Harbour and conferring with the fishermen and others interested. I will communicate to my hon. Friend as soon as I can the date of this visit.
