§ 74. Mr. O'DONNELLasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, owing to a Treasury rule against which the National Board have on several occasions protested, 383 some national teachers in Ireland when promoted after years of efficient work do not get the salary, in some cases for years, attaching to that promotion; and whether, seeing that the amount required is only £1,400 per annum and in view of the injustice done to those men, he will take steps to alter the rule and to grant the amount that will be necessary in future?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI have nothing to add to the numerous replies given by my right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary on this subject.
