55. Mr. EDMUND HARVEYasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Report of the Governor of British East Africa on the land question in that Colony has yet been received, and when it will be published?
§ The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Harcourt)I am not expecting any special report from the Governor on the subject. The matter was discussed at length with him when he was in this country, and the general lines on which legislation should proceed have been settled. A draft Ordinance is now under consideration in the Protectorate, and I hope to receive a copy of it shortly.
