55. Mr. BOLAND

asked the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) whether representations can be made so as to secure that replanting shall take place in the woods of the Winn estate, at Glenbeigh, which have been sold by the landlord to timber merchants?

Mr. RUSSELL

The Department have no power in a case of this kind.

Mr. BOLAND

Could not the right hon. Gentleman make representations to the Congested Districts Board or some other Board to secure that this place will be replanted?

Mr. RUSSELL

I have no objection to express my opinion to the Congested Districts Board, but the Department have no power to interfere.
