HC Deb 31 October 1912 vol 43 cc561-2
64 Mr. CROFT

asked the President of the Board of Trade (64) if he will give the value of apparel exported to Germany from the United Kingdom in 1911 and imported to the United Kingdom from Germany during that year; (65) the total value of exports and imports of chemicals during the year 1911; (69) the total value of imports of manufactured and partly manufactured goods from Germany to the United Kingdom in 1911, and the total value of similar exports from the United Kingdom to Germany in that year; (70) the total value of iron and steel and manufactures thereof imported to the United Kingdom from Germany in 1911 and exported from the United Kingdom to-Germany during that year?

Mr. BUXTON

The figures which the hon. Member requires are to be found in the volumes of the Annual Statement of Trade for 1911. I am sending him the references.

Mr. CROFT

As I understand that the right hon. Gentleman is reluctant to give the figures, may I ask if he will have them printed with the Votes?

Mr. BUXTON

I am not reluctant to give the figures. These figures are already published, and it does not really seem necessary to reproduce them.

Mr. CROFT

Are the German figures separated also?

Mr. BUXTON

I have already stated that those figures appear in the Annual Return, and I am sending on the reference to the hon. Member. If he requires further figures I shall be glad to answer any questions, but it seems to me quite unnecessary to reprint figures which are in the Annual Return.
