HC Deb 28 October 1912 vol 43 c24
49. Mr. GOLDMAN

asked whether the Government propose taking any and, if so, what steps to raise a permanent memorial to the memory of the distinguished services and inspiring example of the late Field Marshal Sir George White?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Government fully recognise the great services rendered to the State by the late Field Marshal, and will be ready to consider what facilities can be given for the erection of a permanent memorial if funds for that purpose are raised by public subscription.
