HC Deb 28 October 1912 vol 43 c41
96. Mr. JAMES THOMAS

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the long hours that are continuously being worked by the Great Northern Railway enginemen and firemen in the Bradford district; and, having regard to the strain upon the men and the consequent danger that must arise to the travelling public from these long periods of duty, what action he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. BUXTON

I have received representations in regard to the hours worked by these men, and inquiry is being made into the matter.
