HC Deb 23 October 1912 vol 42 c2168
16. Major ARCHER-SHEE

asked why officers from the unattached list of the Territorial Force were posted in the "London Gazette" of the 6th August, to the unattached list of the Indian Army, when there are a large number of fully qualified officers in the Regular forces who are desirous of entering the Indian service, and were induced to enter the British service by the prospect of being allowed to transfer to the Indian service under the Regulations?

Mr. TENNANT

The officers mentioned are the university candidates for Army Commissions, nominated according to regulation by the university authorities for the Indian Army. Incidentally they were members of the Officers' Training Corps holding Commissions on the unattached list of the Territorial Force.
