HC Deb 23 October 1912 vol 42 c2175
35. Mr. NEWMAN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that provisional valuations of land are being issued to owners in Ireland without setting out the total and assessable site values; and whether he will state the Section of the Finance (1909–10) Act, 1910, under which the Valuation Department is relieved from the duties imposed on them by Section 26 of setting out the values above mentioned in the case of land which has not come under the purview of the Estates Commissioners?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I am not aware that any provisional valuations have been issued in Ireland which omit to set out the total and assessable site values. If, however, the hon. Member will furnish me with specific cases, I will cause inquiry to be made.
