HC Deb 17 October 1912 vol 42 c1416
63. Mr. HANCOCK

asked what steps have been taken to temporarily or permanently fill the vacancies caused by the fatal accidents to three mines inspectors at the recent Cadeby Mine explosion?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. McKenna)

My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. The vacancies in the Yorkshire district have been filled, two of them by transfers from other districts, and one from the recent examination for junior inspectors. An additional junior for this district has also been appointed from the recent examination.
