asked how many war-signalling stations there are in the United Kingdom and how many of them are situated in Ireland?

Mr. CHURCHILL

It is not desirable to publish the numbers, but I may state that rather less than one-fifth of the whole number are situated in Ireland.

Mr. SWIFT MacNEILL

Does that include the Carson signalling stations?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I do not know whether they come within the scope of the inquiry.
