HC Deb 16 October 1912 vol 42 cc1206-7
20. Captain JESSEL

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the increasing cost to the road authorities through the damage from motor traffic in London, he could see his way to allocate the proceeds of the tax on petrol used by motor traffic to the London local authorities?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I must refer the hon. and gallant Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. and learned Member for West St. Pancras on the 9th instant.
