HC Deb 16 October 1912 vol 42 cc1223-4
55. Mr. SNOWDEN

asked if it is still the intention of the Government to proceed with the Franchise and Registration Bill through all its stages in the present Session, or if it is now intended to drop the Bill and substitute for it a measure for the abolition of plural voting, as implied in a letter recently written by the Chief Government Whip to the Yorkshire League of Liberal Clubs?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

The intention, of the Government is correctly stated in the first paragraph of the question, and my hon. Friend the Chief Whip had no intention of suggesting anything to the contrary.
