57. Mr. FRED HALL (Dulwich)asked the Prime Minister when the present Session of Parliament will end; and whether, in view of the uncertain life of this Parliament, precedence will be given to legislation required to give effect to pledges given by the Government from time to time, including the Amendment of the National Insurance Act, Home Rule all round, land reform, and the Railway Rates Bill?
§ The PRIME MINISTERThe answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The Government will do all in their power to give effect to any pledges which they have given.
Mr. FRED HALLWould the right hon. Gentleman also agree, following the advice and suggestion of the First Lord of the Admiralty, that there should be the question of Home Rule for different parts of England?
§ Viscount HELMSLEYWill the right hon. Gentleman answer the first part of the question on the Paper?
§ The PRIME MINISTERYes, I have already done so.
