HC Deb 28 November 1912 vol 44 c1476
45. Sir JOHN JARDINE

asked the Prime Minister if he will take measures for appointing a Committee to consider whether any change in Standing Orders is expedient in order to maintain the dignity of the House and the continuance of Debates at times when a noisy use of Parliamentary expressions causes uproar, or when unparliamentary expressions are applied to the great Officers of the Crown with noise or persistence?

The PRIME MINISTER

I do not think that there is any necessity for the appointment of such a Committee as that suggested by the hon. Member.
