HC Deb 26 November 1912 vol 44 c1010
70. Captain MURRAY

asked the hon. Member for St. George's-in-the-East, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether there is any reason why all the windows of the Chamber should not be left open while the House is not sitting?

Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN (Lord of the Treasury)

It is the general practice to keep windows of the Chamber open when the House is not sitting; the number that are opened, and the extent of opening, is governed by the direction and strength of the wind.
