HC Deb 25 November 1912 vol 44 c811
46. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the Prime Minister whether, with reference to Clause 2 of the Government of Ireland Bill, the power of laying down the conditions under which brewing, distilling, and the manufacture of tobacco in bond may be carried on in Ireland, and the making of regulations governing the same, will be excluded from the administration of the Irish Executive and confided entirely to the Board of Customs and Excise in London?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

The answer is in the affirmative, these matters being incidental to the collection of the duty, and having always been so regarded.
