HC Deb 21 November 1912 vol 44 cc483-4
92. Mr. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

asked the right hon. Gentleman whether he will publish a list giving shortly in the titles the main objects of all explanatory leaflets, statutory rules and orders, model rules and rules, draft regulations, provisional regulations and regulations, orders, special orders, draft orders, draft special orders, and amended draft orders, circulars and amended circulars, memoranda lists and supplements, forms, provisional forms, and amended forms, published or issued by the Joint Commissioners, the English, Scotch, Welsh, and Irish Commissioners, the Local Government Board, the Admiralty, and the War Office?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I am afraid I can add nothing to the answer to a similar question put by the hon. Member on the 23rd October last.

Mr. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

Will the right hon. Gentleman reconsider his decision not to issue a list, as otherwise how-can any hon. Member keep track of all these numerous documents?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Perhaps in a few weeks' time I may be able to do something of permanent value.

Mr. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

In the meanwhile will the right hon. Gentleman publish a list of the documents issued?

Mr. MASTERMAN

If there is a general wish for it I will do so.

Mr. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

How is it possible for Members of the House to know whether the documents are sent to them if they have no list to refer to?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I said that if there is any general wish among Members for such a list I will issue it.

Sir P. MAGNUS

How is the general wish to be ascertained?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I have ascertained a good many general wishes on these printing matters in the last few months.
