HC Deb 21 November 1912 vol 44 cc452-3
6. Mr. MORRELL

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been drawn to the recent publication by the French Government of a Yellow Book dealing with the Morocco crisis; and whether he now proposes to publish any Papers on the same subject?

Sir E. GREY

I have now received copies of the Yellow Book, which is being examined, but there does not at first sight seem to be anything in the publication which renders it either desirable or necessary for His Majesty's Government to make further statements.

Mr. MORRELL

Is there any precedent for not publishing Papers in regard to a crisis so acute?

Sir E. GREY

I should think there probably are precedents, but I could not say without examination. In this case, however, a very full statement of the part taken by His Majesty's Government was made a year ago in this House.
