Mr. WATTasked whether the Secretary for Scotland has yet had any answer from the magistrates of Glasgow through their town clerk as to the payment of a solatium to Jessie Brown, wrongfully apprehended and punished for solicitation; and will he say what was the nature of the pressure, if any, which he put upon the magistrates to compensate this lady?
